Custom Garment Design and Creation
Have a dream dress in mind? Want to recreate a beloved jacket of yore? Found a fabric you love and want to make it into something special? I offer design services that work collaboratively with you to create a garment.
$70-100 pattern and fitting fee or
$30-50 fitting fee (if pre-existing, unfitted pattern is used)
$10-30 per hour for sewing and finishing
$10-30 each for special details/finishes (bound buttonholes, hand-stitching, etc)
Materials priced at cost or provided by client
Make a Copy of a Pre-Existing Garment
Have an item that you love and wish you had another? Is the original old and worn but you can’t bear to part with it? This service will provide you with a fresh copy of a favorite garment.
$50-80 pattern fee
$30-50 take-apart pattern fee (if the original can be taken apart to make a pattern)
$10-30 per hour for sewing and finishing
$10-30 each for special details/finishes (bound buttonholes, hand-stitching, etc)
Make a Pattern from a Pre-existing Garment
Do you know how to sew and would love to make a copy of something? A pattern can be made from your garment for you to sew yourself! Pattern includes instructions.
$30-50 for pattern
$10-30 for pattern(take-apart)
Re-Fashion Services
This is a great option for a sentimental item you can’t part with but want to use, or something that you like aspects of but does not suit your style. Refashion services can turn these items into unique, wearable, and good looking garments. Smart & stylish people of the past often utilzed these services and looked good while being thrifty and thoughtful.
Prices vary depending on project and are determined collaboratively during consultation.
Tailoring and Alterations
Get a better fit from your clothing. Services include hems, darts, repairs, and more.
Simple hem: $5-10
Darts added or removed: $5-10
Item taken in or let out (simple): $10-30
Item taken in or let out (complex): TBD
Neckline change: $10-30
Replace zipper: $10-30
Re-line coat: $30-60
Repair hole or rip: depends on damage
Repair a sweater: depends on damage
Suit/Jacket fitting (minor): $15-35

Personal Shopping
Love shopping and clothes but not sure how to do it in a way that is thoughtful and low-imapct but with high return and satisfaction? I offer a personal shopping service that utilize a knowledge of sustainable, eco friendly, and ethical clothing and accessories as well as how to get the most out of shopping at second-hand, vintage, or thrift stores. This service also includes assistance with fit and style, with the option to have purchased items tailored for an additional charge.
$10-30 per hour including cost of travel by T or your car.
If we go by bike, there is no transportation charge :)
Wardrobe Evaluation
Too many clothes and not a thing to wear? The wardrobe evaluation service will help you to edit your wardrobe by determining your personal style and specific needs. This service includes transportation of your surrendered clothes to a local charity, sourcing needed items thoughtfully, and help with re-fashioning under-worn or un-fitting items into wearable pieces.
$30-60 for a 3 hr session
