I am proud to announce the first show to be held at the new MEME Gallery in Cambridge, Accumulation!

Accumulation (phase I) will provide an environment to witness the evolution of a space that has
been activated by accumulated creative action. Over the duration of this exhibition the 6 Boston-
based artists and curators of MEME will spontaneously create an evolving installation.
All evidence from these actions will remain in the space and each artist will be challenged with
how to interact with another’s remnants. Accumulation will challenge ideas about artist
collaboration while creating an innovative exhibition of performance art documentation.

Accumulation’s opening will be held on June 13th from 12-6pm. Because of the nature of this
exhibition, a closing, complete with a screening of video documentation of all occurrences in the
space will also be held on June 26th from 7-10pm.

Located in Central Square, Cambridge, MEME will provide space for ephemeral art to be
made and witnessed. A tireless schedule of exhibitions, screenings, residencies and workshops
will bring together local, national and international artists. MEME’s goal is to provide
support for ideas that typically have a difficult time finding a place in the world. Keep an eye
out for local artists PRINCESSdie, GJYD, Rome’s Travis McCoy Fuller, and The Present
Tense’s Archive release event in the upcoming months!

so today via Jezebel, I found out about this documentary called Guest of Cindy Sherman, which was made by her ex-boyfriend Paul H-O, who is apparently A HUGE DICKHEAD.

Basically, the film seems to be about this guy and Cindy Sherman’s romantic relationship, and how it was hard for him as an “outsider” (he hosted a public access show about making fun of the NY art scene) to be so eclipsed by Sherman’s fame and esteem. Call the fucking waaaahhhhmbulance. Sherman is notoriously reclusive and the preview for this documentary shows her ducking away from the camera multiple times. So it seems like Paul H-O’s beef is that he is dating a talented and successful female artist.

this is a clip from the film, of him talking with some hosts of a radio program about “Famous Girlfriend Syndrome” a.k.a. what most wives/girlfriends/lovers of famous men have had to put up with for millennia without having to make documentaries about it.

This seriously pisses me off. God forbid that this guy (WHO KNEW SHE WAS A FAMOUS ARTIST WHEN THEY STARTED DATING) grow a pair and appreciate that he is dating one of the coolest people alive. I almost want to see this movie just to see if he ever actually admits that this is HIS problem, not a circumstantial one.
